Like most people, I have struggled with a poor body image and a negative relationship with food most of my life. I know that so many of my struggles were caused by the pressure I was putting on myself. Having to be perfect and feeling like I had no control or self-discipline to make a change in my life. Looking for answers and quick solutions, I was inundated with so much conflicting information.
Near the end 2015, I finally decided, enough was enough and I needed help. I was holding myself back by thinking I had to do it all on my own. I started looking into programs that would really give the guidance I needed to be successful and in 2016, I began my journey to loving me and learning to enjoy every step of the process.
Through the nutrition and exercise program I was in, I had a serious transformation. My perception of diet, exercise and what I was capable of caused me to have complete shift in my way of thinking. All those years of feeling like I had no control, I started to realize wasn't true. It was the hardest time in my life, but also the most rewarding. It was during this leg of my journey where I fell in love with food again and I was unapologetic about taking care of myself. There were days I just wanted to give up, but I kept listened to God's voice telling me to "Keep Moving Forward!" and that's exactly what I did. Every time I listened, He truly provided for me in ways I had never seen in my life. More hours were added to my days, my children were on their best behavior those days and everything on my checklist was accomplished.
After having a front row seat to my own journey, I realized there was so much I wanted to share with the world. I knew where I was at that time was not where I supposed to be. I decided it was time to align my career with the lifestyle changes I was making. After a lot of sole searching and research, I made the decision to become a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach. With the tools I have picked up along the way, I know I can help you fall in love with food again and learn to love YOU at every stage of your journey.
